Too Cool For School

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, Back to school! With the summer winding down it’s time to start searching for the perfect first day of school outfit. Growing up this was always my favorite part of preparing for the new school year. Showing up on the first day in a fresh and brand new outfit always made me excited and ready to learn.

 Your Not So Basic Backpack

The one item that is used more than any in your school wardrobe is your backpack, so its safe to say it’s the most important item. We have a few options for Your kids to choose and all of them are super trendy and will be the perfect addition to their everyday look. The patch trend has been rocking and rolling since fall 2016 and as it continues into this fall 2017 Kenzo and Stella McCartney both offer backpack options with fun decals to fill your patch needs. Stella McCartney’s designs include a blue/green and red/purple option that are both bright and stylish. These bags are on the large size so there are plenty of room for all their books, school lunch, and more! Armani’s backpacks display a sporty look with classic Armani patterns like polka dots and their eagle logo in subtle colors like khaki and green. The all black backpack from Hugo Boss is super chic and will go with your child from year to year thanks to it’s reinforced back pad and adjustable straps.

Season after season Chloe gives us the most striking and stunning pieces that are just beyond exquisite. So of course when it comes to the first day back she has the perfect ensemble options for your little girl. The rainbow top from this past summer 2017 collection has a feminine flow with a gorgeous melting color pattern. This top needs to be show cased so pair it with a pair of slim fit, light pink pants and matching pink/white high-top sneakers. Finish this fall look with a classic jean jacket from Zadig & Voltaire because fall weather can be so unpredictable.

It’s ironic how sometimes an outfit that seems so relaxed and laidback can take more time to put together then something more formal. For his first day back to school we have the perfect ‘too cool for school’ look that he will feel like the big man on campus in. Graphic t-shirts are a hot trend right now as they allow you to express yourself so let him pick out . Our favorite is the musical instrument t-shirt from Stella McCartney because of the fun detachable patches that he can rearrange as he pleases.
